R&D works / expert opinions on:

• physics and technology of fuel cycles in nuclear reactors, new generation reactors, safety of nuclear facilities, spent fuel/radiactive waste management
• development of mathematical models/software tools necessary to assess safety of operation of nuclear facilities, rsisk/threats for health/environment related to catastrophic failures of nuclear/chemical facilities, transport of hazardous substances, and emission of pollutants to the environment.

The MANHAZ Centre of Excellence run within the Division conducts similar evaluations/assesments in respect to non-nuclear facilities.
