National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) called into being

Polish Government merged as of September 1, 2011 two Świerk-based Institutes: the Andrzej Sołtan Institute for Nuclear Studies (IPJ) and the Institute for Atomic Energy (IEA). That way the former Institute for Nuclear Research in Świerk has been revived under a new name and with new perspectives.
